Are You Ready?

Influence.

The word in and of itself just sounds heavy, right?

Over the last several weeks, God has been pressing hard into my heart the need to stir a mindfulness of the influence that surrounds us all. The bible tells us that influence is a relentless fire that bombards our lives, impacts our worldview, and can easily become a force that leads poor decisions.

Read over Ephesians 6:11-13 carefully.

Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Paul is careful to explain that life's difficulties and struggles run deeper than we often think. It's a spiritual battle - a constant war between God's work in us and Satan's objective to destroy it. Without the proper mindset and armor, influence - in it's various forms, shades and colors - is destructive. Like a domino effect - a signal choice has the power to leverage the direction of the rest our lives.


We must dive into the wisdom and protection found in God's Word - so we as Christ-followers can be steadfast and burn brightly for Christ, even in the midst of struggle, temptation and pressure.

Careful - don't be fooled. Our relationship with Christ is a spiritual battle and we must be ready to fight.
